Serving His Community

In all small towns across Indiana, there are places where the community draws together to share the latest news- Do you think the high school basketball team can pull off an upset on Friday night? Going with beans or corn this year? Did you hear the family down the street had a baby girl last week? Everyday experiences that bind us all together. And in Noblesville, Indiana, one of those places was Kenley's grocery store.

From the time he was a boy hanging around the grocery store, Luke saw firsthand what community was all about. And as an adult he took those powerful lessons and put them into practice. Whether it's leading an adult Bible Study, raising the funds needed to build the Noblesville Boys' and Girls' Club into one of the finest in the state or serving as chairman of the Central Indiana United Way's allocation committee, Luke has put his time and his talents to good use.

It's that sense of stewardship, which has guided Luke throughout his life. Wanting to make his hometown a better place for the children of Noblesville. Hoping to guide those who had gotten off track back to a life of responsible citizenship. Looking for ways to live out his faith.

Leadership with a purpose. Servanthood built upon humility. It's a precious mix that can be difficult to find in public officials today. But you can find it in Luke Kenley.
